Hypertext has always been, what\u2019s a text without a hyper but a scratch in the rock?\u00a0 Look how much thinking gets done.\u00a0 S\u00e9ance me regards the information that we use only a \u00a0small percentage of our brain power (which is, whatever, they want to play-doh measure the mind and write numbers on the board, they can), s\u00e9ance me regards that information like, oooh, there\u2019s a 90% big amazing secret and I want a peek!\u00a0 But I think the big amazing secret might be that 90% of brain power is as-yet unused, and information is hypertexting in the mind, exponentially, it becomes caused to think in five and six dimensions and faster than you\u2019d guess, too, what with the rate of increase, mm-hmm.\u00a0 Think of all you know in a pinprick of ink, more and more all the time, across generations and technologies, more and more information.\u00a0 You know about viruses and rocks on the moon and powdered wigs and how babies are made, and what all mankind thinks about gods and war and grizzly bears.\u00a0 Maybe that\u2019s why my work is now, because we know so many possibilities of what we might be looking at<\/b>.\u00a0 And think of how many we know thanks to the glass lens alone.\u00a0 Make me yell, baby.<\/p>\n
I laid the installation components out like evidence, like unclaimed baggage.\u00a0 We are inevitable.\u00a0 There is a lot of work for rock shaped like a mushroom at the site.\u00a0 I really like the sculptures in the human space.\u00a0 But they are a people<\/em>\u00a0trap,<\/i> never mind their\u00a0their clumsy backpacks, their litigious, easily snagged lulu\u2019s, \u00a0and their children, don\u2019t get me started.\u00a0 These sculptures are the whole bunch of mornings after solution.\u00a0 Oh the Learning Experiences We\u2019ll Have!\u00a0 These are not for anyone to touch except me and even then only in gloves, what with their centi-needle edges, hypodermic wire ties and mean, invisible pincers.\u00a0 I have learned how to touch it, of course, like a beekeeper.
