One of the difficult aspects of this installation with the 25′\u00a0<\/span>ceiling\u00a0is figuring out what I have to leave out in order to allow myself continued access with the lift.\u00a0 The sculpture might close me away from the ceiling, I have to leave it partially unassembled, and unhooked, its pieces slowly twirling in midair so that I might push them aside on my way up and down.\u00a0 I love them, it\u2019s obscene, I know their every contour, and I couldn\u2019t be more pleased with the materials, or with the way the wire is so much more visible than the mesh, except in certain sideways light when the mesh is solid, aglow, bright, the lucky moment of imagination come true.<\/span><\/p>\n

The installation is at the height of its unmade-ness.\u00a0 Any more making and it will be closer to done, any less and I would have had more to come.\u00a0 There is more to do than I can list.\u00a0 It must to be done, positioning the lights, fabricating the baffles, \u00a0adding mesh\u00a0in order and in a detachable way, to allow ceiling access; \u00a0and, AND painting the walls.\u00a0 It can be done.\u00a0 But its car better not get stuck in the ice.\u00a0 That\u2019s why it parks on the previously plowed street.\u00a0 In addition, fabricating the optics segments and placing, trot trot off to the museum I go.\u00a0 without a driver\u2019s side view mirror. All the whole time staying empty. And I did bring my colored pencils.\u00a0 There is nothing to do but go at it.\u00a0 It shall be lovely, I can already tell.. the shadow screen alone is almost a piece by itself, I got the green dot to quiet down.\u00a0 I get afraid of it, but I just have to go in and do this little bit of stuff, and there it is, there is the work.\u00a0 it\u2019slikethiseverytime… it\u2019slikethiseverytime.<\/i>..\u00a0 also the blackout fabric… measure and plan… delegate<\/p>\n

Moths and butterflies…. My eyes get wide like the two looking-cylinders of the ultrasonic sensor attached to the turning motor.\u00a0 The wings show eyes, too, and light!\u00a0 Let me gather myself to say why it\u2019s a spectacle that moth and butterfly wings imitate how light falls on three dimensional objects, it shows highlights and shadows, like how I paint \u2013 the piece says to me, in monk chant, so you got the message messmaegseasage memsessasmga<\/span>eegsesage<\/span><\/p>\n
