chess

I’m using game store solitaire chess to get my chops back.  It’s teaching me to keep simplicity in mind. it’s the way of thinking that goes to the board. Other games seem like chancy go-fish with bonus administrative tedium, sentences in hell, reps in the gym, uncreative. But chess is not, is it ever, about luck on the board. The luck is in the opponent. The luck is in the placement of the board. In what you saw in the world that gave the idea of the board. The way I see it, what could leave more possibility than simplicity? I quit assigning personalities to the pieces, i think of them only as actors with capabilities, regardless of their height. The heat is on me. i turn the board an eighth so the squares look like diamonds.
